Apple has rolled out a new subscription tier for App Store developers. This pricing structure allows you to offer the discounted rates of an annual plan while billing users in manageable monthly installments. It effectively bridges the gap between high upfront costs and long-term user retention.
How the Installment Model Works
This payment option gives subscribers a more flexible way to access premium app features. Users commit to an annual plan but distribute the financial cost across 12 monthly payments.

Deployment Timeline and Xcode Testing

Developers can begin testing the implementation locally in Xcode today. The feature will officially roll out to users next month, requiring iOS 26.4 or newer, and launching alongside the broader release of iOS 26.5 and corresponding multi-platform updates.
Current Regional Restrictions
Be aware of initial geographical limitations during this rollout. Currently, the United States and Singapore are strictly excluded from offering these installment-based subscriptions.
Apple has not yet disclosed a specific timeline for when this billing option will expand to these restricted markets.
